Injunction applications move faster than almost any other type of court proceeding, and the bundle has to keep up. Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders under the Family Law Act 1996, made on Form FL401, protect someone from domestic abuse or determine who can live in the family home. Civil injunctions - freezing orders, search orders, and harassment injunctions - work under different rules but share the same urgency.

A large share of these applications are made "without notice," meaning the respondent doesn't know about the hearing until after an order is already made. That changes what the bundle needs to do: with no opposing evidence to weigh against, it has to stand entirely on its own, supported by a clear witness statement and whatever contemporaneous evidence exists — police reports, medical records, messages, or photographs.

Because urgency cuts across both family and civil contexts, injunction bundles deserve their own structure rather than being treated as an afterthought to standard proceedings.
