Technology and Construction Court (TCC) Bundle

The Technology and Construction Court is a specialist court within the King's Bench Division and part of the Business and Property Courts. It handles construction and engineering disputes, adjudication enforcement, IT disputes, professional negligence claims, procurement challenges, and dilapidations cases — work that is almost always expert-evidence-heavy and frequently involves multiple parties passing claims down a contractual chain.

The TCC Guide (third edition, October 2022) sets the procedural framework for bundle preparation. Electronic bundles are the default: application bundles must be lodged electronically in accordance with the General Guidance on Electronic Court Bundles set out in Appendix J of the Guide, and hard copy bundles should not be lodged unless specifically requested by the judge. All parties and the court must always work from bundles with identical pagination.

One distinctive feature of TCC practice is the Scott Schedule — a tabular document setting out each disputed item, each party's position on it, and the relevant quantum, item by item. For cases involving multiple defects, a final account, or numerous delay events, the Scott Schedule is often the most important document in the bundle.
