Tribunal (Property Chamber, First-tier Tribunal) Bundle

The Land Registration Division of the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) deals with disputes referred from HM Land Registry: Reference Cases, where an application has been objected to, and Rectification Cases, where a party applies directly to correct or set aside a document relating to registered land.

Because the Tribunal treats every reference as a fresh start rather than continuing HM Land Registry's own file, the bundle has to stand on its own. It grows out of each party's Statement of Case, which must list and include copies of every document important to their position: title deeds, plans, photographs, correspondence, and witness statements.

There's no fixed page limit in the Division's own guidance, but the overriding objective — dealing with cases proportionately and avoiding unnecessary formality — means bundles are still expected to stay focused. A well-organised bundle, built around the directions timetable, is often what separates a hearing that runs smoothly from one that gets bogged down chasing missing documents.
