Create a document inventory
Begin by listing every document that may be relevant. Record its date, author, document type and the issue it supports.
Use consistent file names
File names should help you identify a document without opening it. A useful format is date, document type and a brief description.
Remove duplicates
Duplicate documents make bundles unnecessarily large and may cause confusion. Keep one authoritative copy unless there is a clear reason to include another version.
Separate evidence from working notes
Internal notes and drafts should not accidentally enter a filed court bundle. Maintain a clear distinction between evidence and preparation material.
